MY STORY

A Path to Discovery

I'm Jacob Martinez, an artist, designer, and a proud Colorado native. I've been drawing since I was 6 years old, and developed a strong passion for it. Every moment of everyday, lingers a new idea of the imagination in which I wish to replicate in a visual form. It has always been my joy to share my art among an audience, to where the piece itself is appreciated.
I am recent graduate from the University of Colorado Denver, achieving a BFA in Digital Design. I’m a current student at Metropolitan State University pursuing another bachelors in Industrial Design with a minor in Mechanical Engineering. The best of both worlds to be analytical, and to be creative. I've had my fair share of continuous rejection, but that never stopped me from pursuing what I do. I hope to build new business relationships, collaborate on projects that thrive upon new insights, and to produce the best products.
Cheers!

BEAR CLAW ARTS

But Why Bear Claw?

Bear Claw was the nickname I was given back in high school during the track season. The name had an appeal to me that seemed to characterize myself, the name sounds fierce yet a delightful treat. People have always called me Bear Claw since the day it was given, from high school all the way to college. The name means more considering it creates a uniqueness that allows other individuals to associate me, myself, to the name. I love art, I love bear claws, and I love bears. Together, they define what I love and who I am. Together, Bear Claw Arts is a new foundation. You can always connect with me on Instagram, Vimeo, and LinkedIn.

LOGO INSPIRATION

Like so many in Colorado, I’ve had my fair share of encounters with bears. Most of my experiences came from Mountain biking. Occasionally, I will have a few unlikely guests that spectate and then investigate. Bears have always been fascinating to me and possess
extragenital traits. They are intelligent, agile swimmers, climbers, runners, and dangerous creatures. Although very few bears dwelled amongst humans, my reverence grew after hearing
stories about the Syrian Bear, Wojtek.
